NorthState to redevelop mobile-home park on Lake Norman into new residential community

A Cornelius-based developer is embarking on yet another project in the Charlotte region.

NorthState Development is moving forward with a plan to redevelop a largely abandoned mobile-home park on Lake Norman for a new residential community. The developer plans to bring 27 townhomes and three single-family home lots to the site, also known as Ranger Island It is located off Unity Church Road in Denver.


NorthState Development has secured rezoning approval to redevelop an 11-acre, largely abandoned mobile-home park on Lake Norman into new residential product. The project includes 27 single-family attached units and three single-family home lots.

“Ranger Island will truly be transformed,” NorthState managing partner Shane Seagle said in a press release. “These new homes will have a spectacular view of Lake Norman and will be an example of lake living at its best.”
